Our PinkBins

Care of your Donation

Textiles typically are not sorted at the point of collection, but keeping them clean and free from moisture is important. Once clothes get wet, stained, or mildewed, they cannot be sold for reuse. To prevent contamination, Pink Bin offers enclosed drop-off boxes for clothing or other fabrics.

The bin is painted pink and visually represents our support of Clothes for Cures mission. The bin is usually about 48” x 48” square and just over 6 feet tall. For comparison, it is about the size of a vending machine.

The bin is marked with easy to follow directions about how to handle your donations. All bins are covered by a liability insurance policy.

Security and Safety

Our steel bins are custom manufactured here in the U.S.A. They are designed for safety and are weather resistant. They feature a large security chute in the front that prohibits theft. Bags of clothes will easily go in but it is difficult for people to reach in and remove anything. We have learned that a secure collection bin is key to the success of our efforts.

We will deliver your freshly painted and clearly marked clothing collection bin to your location and assign a collection driver for regular service. The driver will begin pick up and service the bin usually that same week. If however, there is ever a problem with the bin or with overflowing materials, you can simply call the toll-free number located on every bin and we will respond promptly. It is our promise to keep you and your customers satisfied with our effort.

Drop-Off Instructions:

  • We accept clothes, shoes and household textiles of good quality, that are ready to be re-worn and reused. Household textiles include tablecloths, towels, bedding, blankets, bedspreads, etc.
  • We can't accept mattresses, furniture, appliances, carpet, household items, or trash.
  • Clothes, shoes and textiles must be clean and dry and dropped off in tied plastic bags. A sturdy plastic bag protects the clothes from dirt and allows to recycle the items as they were intended.
